If you wish to know the status of your application, please use the candidate log-in on our career website as it will reflect any updates to your status.What you will do:Creates and maintains the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).Collaborate with product definition, components engineering and create Simplified Price Lists (SPL) with logic to drive the right product configurations based on the technical and commercial requirements.Collaborate with global engineering, price list and other cross-functional teams to determine product offerings and their compatibility rules during New Product Introduction (NPI), Standard & Design to Order (DTO) products.Ensure integration of all Genset systems and components.Collaborate and support the PC&DM team on Material Master creation, and compatibility and to ensure the SPL logic is translated to SAP (VC) systems as per the requirements.Conduct Virtual Design Review Audits (VDRA), and Virtual Build (VB) and maintain the Top-Down Models (TDM) as applicable.Collaborate and coordinate with global engineering teams to create and maintain the General Dimension Drawings as well as General Arrangements models.Ability to work with factory teams (Purchasing, Supply chain and Planning teams).The role will require active participation in NPI, engineering change and other projects to offer knowledge, and expert advice, and to commit to task durations.The role will include rapid resolution of production critical and dealer-facing issues and thorough root cause analysis to ensure permanent corrective actions are in place.What you will have – Skills:Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies, and use cases; ability to use this knowledge to optimize product designs and manufacturing operations.Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering courses.CREA certification active.Pre-Advanced English.Top Candidates will have:Product Configuration experience of Diesel/Gas Genset, Engines or similar automotive/machine products.Proficient at gathering relevant information, comparing, and contrasting data, identifying relationships, and predicting and managing failures.Project management skills.Manages own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology.Advanced English.Some of the offered benefits*:Medical planDental planMedicines reimbursementGympassPsychological, Legal, Social and Finance Support ProgramPrivate pension planProfit shareMeal assistanceChristmas basketTransportationLife and personal insuranceExtended maternity and paternity leaveEmployee resources group (Young Professional, Women in Networking, LAMBDA (LGBTQIA+), Latin Group and Active in Sport)* Caterpillar reserves the right to change or modify benefits at any time, subject to prior notice and in compliance with legal requirements.
