Mt. Bachelor strives to deliver Central Oregon's most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors on a year-round basis. Mt. Bachelor's 365 days of fun includes 4,300 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, Woodward Mountain Parks, a world-class Nordic Center, summer and fall downhill biking in the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, Sun Country Tours (white water rafting), hiking, Sunset Dinners, Zip-Touring and chairlift-accessible sightseeing.
Position Summary
The events crew member position embodies Mt. Bachelor's mission to deliver memorable experiences, enhance peoples' lives and have fun doing it. From major competitions to on-snow parties and contests, events crew members work hard and have fun setting up, executing, and tearing down events. This is a part-time position, primarily working weekends, some mid-week and prior to and post events. Crew members must be available throughout Mt. Bachelor's complete winter season, which lasts until the end of May.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Following detailed Instructions from Snr Manager, Manager, Supervisor, and/or Lead- Assist Manager / Supervisor with Event set-up and tear-down. (fencing event perimeters, branding, tents, PA system, etc.)- Ensuring the safety of event set-up and atmosphere.- Assist Event Manager / Supervisor with Event coordination, sponsor banner placement, resort branding, and other mountain signage.- Assist Event Manager / Supervisor with Race course set-up, maintenance, race timing, and results.- Assist Event Manager / Supervisor with Competitor registration, awards ceremony set-up, and tear down.- Professional and clear radio communication.- Providing a high level of customer service to all event competitors and participants.
Secondary Function
Including but not limited to:
- Assisting and collaborating with other resort departments to facilitate events - HR, F&B.
Job Scope
The job operates within the established parameters. The events crew member is accountable for their on-hill staff actions. Seasonal Commitment is required.

Guests and other mountain departments.
Specific Job Skills- License/Certifications: Current and valid Driver's License.- Technical: Advanced ski or snowboard ability preferred. Must be comfortable loading, riding, and unloading a chair lift. Other types of over-the-snow travel may be required (training provided).- Physical Capabilities: While performing the job duties, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work long hours, outside in an inclement winter environment is a must.- Additional:
1) Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

- While performing the duties of this role, the employee will be required to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, the position will require frequent outdoor exposure in various conditions, including extreme heat and sun exposure. This position also requires intermediate mountain biking skills. The individual will require rapid reaction to physical changes and frequent visual concentration on equipment.
Current Hiring Rate: $16.00/hour
