JOB MISSION:Plan, coordinate, and enable actions that ensure safety, hygiene, and occupational health conditions, as well as control the environmental impacts of all manufacturing units of Wavin Brazil, aiming to comply with safety and environmental legislation applicable to the industrial activities carried out. Act in the management of SSMA (Safety, Health, and Environmental Management) and ISRS (International Safety Rating System) ensuring the control and updating of relevant documentation, as well as assisting the SGI (Integrated Management System) area in obtaining certifications for all units in Brazil. Implement corporate guidelines for safety, hygiene, occupational health, and the environment throughout the territory, supporting SSMA programs, ISRS, and legal requirements.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the SSMA (Safety, Health, and Environmental Management) department to ensure compliance with standards, legislation, ISRS requirements, and applicable corporate procedures.
Ensure the development, planning, and execution of safety and environmental activities at the corporate level.
Define labor and environmental monitoring plans for all manufacturing units.
Ensure technical alignment of concepts so that projects, equipment installations, and processes comply with corporate SSMA guidelines.
Evaluate and ensure legal compliance of operations at the corporate level (obtaining and renewing operating licenses, fire department permits, chemical product licenses, etc.).
Ensure that SSMA procedures are updated and in accordance with the Integrated Management System (SGI).
Plan and ensure the approval of suppliers for environmental and safety services.
Ensure that SSMA operational practices in Wavin's manufacturing units are aligned with applicable legislation.
Ensure that SSMA operational practices in Mexichem's manufacturing units align with corporate safety, hygiene, occupational health, and environmental guidelines.
Prepare and validate technical responses directed to internal/external stakeholders regarding safety and environmental performance inquiries.
Monitor the progress of requests from official agencies and represent the company before them (FATMA, Health Surveillance, Fire Department, Public Ministry, Ministry of Labor, IBAMA, etc.), ensuring the accuracy of information and compliance with the requester.
Ensure confidentiality of information related to Occupational Safety Engineering (labor processes, etc.).
Collaborate with management to develop the annual budget and investment program for the area, defining expenses for payroll, staffing, and related costs.
Participate in and conduct lectures, training sessions, and workshops related to Environment, Health, and Safety aimed at improving departmental processes.
Prepare and validate defenses in labor lawsuits when requested by the legal department.
Represent the company as a representative in labor and environmental lawsuits when requested.
Serve as the legal technical responsible according to NR4.
Lead, develop, and engage the team across different shifts and units to ensure compliance with all SSMA norms, policies, and practices.REQUIREMENTS
Chemical, Sanitary, Environmental Engineering and related fields. Specialization in Safety Engineering (is a must).
Advanced level of English.
Experience on the roll 5 yearsKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED/REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION(Qualifications, knowledge, and experiences recommended for good performance in this role):
Experience in Integrated Management System;
Experience with the ISRS - International Safety Rating System;
Experience with the Senior System - Management of PPRA, Work Accidents, PPP, CIPA Management;
Experience with SAP – DMS, QM, PRD;
Experience with risk assessment tools;
Experience in industrial activities; environment, process engineering, commissioning of units/start-up of new plants, process auditing, process safety, occupational health and safety;
Experience and knowledge in regulatory matters of SSMA, Health and Safety, and Environmental
