We're building the future of advertising and are looking for the minds to help us do it.
Darkroom is a progressive growth marketing and digital strategy firm focused on growth-stage B2C companies. Our team has been responsible for over a billion dollars in trackable revenue for hundreds of commerce, retail, software, and B2C businesses. Darkroom strictly focuses on developing the next generation of digital services.
We are thrilled to introduce the role of Design Lead for the Darkroom marketing team. As a core member of our Revenue team (which houses Sales and Marketing for the Darkroom brand), you will be a key ingredient in owning the Darkroom brand and design aesthetic for all marketing communications. Your major responsibility will be working with our Director of Content to grow Darkroom into high double-digit growth YoY.
As a Lead Designer, you'll independently lead Darkroom design, primarily focused on graphics for organic social, UI/UX for the website, marketing decks, landing pages, and other experimental graphics that are needed. You will OWN the creative direction of our Instagram grid and will be the final say in curating a vibe and aesthetic that lives up to DARKROOM STANDARDS.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Work with motion and video editors to execute together on projects.
- Design formats will include landing pages, paid ads, and organic social posts among others.
- Design website landing pages, case study pages, and site experiences that showcase Darkroom's prowess as a leader in the growth marketing and design space.
- Approach UI/UX design with a focus on branded UI, conversion-focused UX, and clarity.
- Develop brand identity systems for Darkroom content formats; like our podcast Social Studies or our event series Office Hours. Come up with new design identities as needed.
- Regularly present your work to the Director of Content and back up your design choices with effective reasoning.
- Successfully project manages design engagements from end to end with adherence to a timeline (i.e. Lead projects from discovery through to ideation, iteration, and hand-off).
- Collaborate with Framer Developers to understand the technical limitations of the platform; within 45 days of work at Darkroom develop a mastery of the Framer platform without the use of a developer (this is a no-code website builder we will help you out with in-training).
- Approach your designs with a sense of structure, creating component systems and adhering to spacing, padding, type style, and color style guidelines.
**Requirements**:

- You have a portfolio of work that demonstrates an ability to produce stunning creative work that has performed against business goals.
- You understand how to turn ideas and discussions into actionable next steps.
- You have a proven track record of collaborating with developers or engineers and understand how to document your designs for development hand-off.
