As a Green Coffee Global Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the transportation, distribution, and supply chain management of green coffee beans and will be responsible for managing the outbound and sea freight logistics and relations for our green coffee logistics operations in Brazil.
Responsibilities:The role will be varied as outlined under responsibilities below, but this individual will oversee supply chain logistics related activities as it applies to green coffee purchasing. The individual in this role will add value by developing our local logistics strategy, drive process improvements between the exporters, warehouses, and freight forwarders, that promote efficiency, quality, and customer service.You will work in close collaboration with the well-established Keurig Trading Logistics Team located in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will lead the following tasks:Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with coffee producers, exporters, and warehouses to manage the flow of green coffee beans.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.
Follow and respect the specified process and standard operating procedure.Logistics Planning and Execution:
Plan and execute transportation routes for green coffee shipments.
Work to resolve operational conflicts, shipping delays, and errors and escalate to management as needed.
Optimize cargo loading, container stuffing, and transportation to port terminals.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
Maintain and monitor shipping documentation, regulatory requirements, and customs declarations as required for all shipment types and ensure it is properly entered into system.Risk Management:
Identify potential bottlenecks in logistical corridors and mitigate risks related to transportation delays, port congestion.Quality Control:
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure the integrity of green coffee prior and during transportation.
Monitor certificate process for certified coffee (RA, FT etc.), manages reporting platforms.Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate effectively with KT Logistics team, coffee producers, exporters, and Supplier Logistics Teams.
Provide regular updates on shipment status, delivery schedules, and any logistical challenges.Performance Metrics:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency, On time Shipment and Delivery and establish related reporting.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert to continuously improve logistics processes, system updates and other relevant projects.Skills & Qualifications
5+ years professional experience in inland logistics, warehousing, and sea freight for coffee or other soft commodities
Specific training in international logistics and familiarity with Incoterms
2+ years experience working with SAP
Very good knowledge in English language. Spanish a plus.
Proficient in MS Office including excel , word and powerpointOther Requirements
