We are actively looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Brazil team. This position will prepare engineering work involving design, construction, and execution of mechanical projects. They will also assist during the inspection and research to ensure adherence to law and the standards of good engineering practices.SummaryPrepares engineering work involving mechanical design, with proficiency in CAD, construction, and execution of mechanical projects. Assists during the inspection and research to ensure adherence to law and the standards of good engineering practices.Duties and responsibilities:Prepares a variety of designs from bulk material, hydraulic modeling and analysis of oil & gas transmission systems, waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals and pump stations and utility (water/sewer/stormwater) systems projects.Prepares equipment/materials specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews, and material handling equipment construction/configuration.Design other projects such as piping to support in other projects such as liquid bulk terminal and utilities which will include piping design using either Plant 3D or PDS preferred.Assist with condition assessment inspections for oil & gas and utility infrastructure.Complete piping and pipelines stress analysis using CAESAR.Prepare design documents (plans and specifications) with an emphasis in utility service design.Generate proposals and develop fee estimates for PS&E packages.Conduct condition assessment inspections for Energy, Maritime, and utility infrastructure.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; required.4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design related to bulk material handling.Or a minimum of 20 years of experience as a mechanical designer in first-class engineering companies.Experience in the design of bulk material handling projects.Acknowledgement in developing equipment specifications, calculations, data sheets, drawings reviews, and other documents related to the mechanical design.Design experience in industrial complexes and/or marine terminals is a plus.General understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development.Experience in piping design and other mechanical equipment.Some planning and task management skills.AutoCAD, 3D proficiency.BIM experience is a plus.MicroStation is a plus.English – Intermediate level.Spanish is a plus.Physical requirements:Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
