In line with our current growth, Recurrent Energy is looking for a performance analyst to assist in the in-depth analysis of performance data from to solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems.
This position is at the crossroads of solar energy, engineering, and data analytics.

Responsibilities
Analyze the performance of solar photovoltaic systems (utility-scale solar plants and battery storage systems); identify under-performing areas and sub-systems, provide an understanding of system behavior
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to share with clients
Contribute to the maintenance and development of scripts to collect and archive data
Develop automated diagnostic tools to analyze data and flag underperforming assets
Perform simulations using various industry standard programs
Interface with other personnel in Operations and Maintenance, with our project development division, and with our clients
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and company policies
Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
This position is suitable for a recent Data Science or Engineering graduate
Familiarity or interest in solar energy and power systems an asset
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
Strong computer skills and In-depth familiarity with a programming language (Python preferred)
Knowledge of Pandas, SQL, Git an asset
Excellent communication skills and an ability to write clear, concise reports
Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
