**Role Summary**
A process analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving organizational processes, often with the goal of increasing efficiency and productivity. This may involve identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies in current processes, proposing and implementing solutions, and monitoring the effectiveness of those solutions.
**Skills**
- Analytical skills_: Process analysts should be able to gather and analyze data to identify trends and patterns that may inform process improvements. They should also be able to use tools like flowcharts and process maps to visualize and understand processes.
- Problem-solving skills_: Process analysts should be able to identify problems or bottlenecks in current processes and propose solutions to improve them.
- Communication skills_: Process analysts should be able to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership, as well as work with cross-functional teams to gather input and feedback.
- Project management skills_: Process analysts may be responsible for managing projects related to process improvement initiatives, so they should have experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Interpersonal skills_: Process analysts should be able to work well with others and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders. They should also be able to provide support and guidance to employees as they adjust to new processes.
- Familiarity with software development processes_: Knowledge of software development industry.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Analyzing the current software development process to identify areas for improvement
- Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions
- Work with stakeholders to implement process improvements
- Monitor the effectiveness of process changes, using metrics such as time and cost savings
- Continuously review and update processes to ensure they are meeting the needs of the organization
- Gathering and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns that may inform process improvements
- Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
- Managing projects related to process improvement initiatives
- Developing and delivering training to employees on new or improved processes
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to employees as they adjust to new processes.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a field such as Information Technology, business administration, management, or engineering.
- Clear understanding of tools available to prepare flowcharts and Business Process Models Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Project management experience or certification
- Experience working with cross-functional and technology teams
- Strong understanding of Automation tools provided by office 365.
