Job Title: Process and Project Engineer
Summary: In the role, you will lead initiatives to improve existing production processes, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and market responsiveness. This includes managing the transfer of new product technologies from internal and external sources, ensuring efficient implementation and adherence to established procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop technical and economic studies of new products at the site, looking at the installed capability, process conditions, new investment needs, and other productivity variables that could affect the process.
Development of technology transfers, working together with a cross-functional team in the analysis and implementation of global processes.
Create an SOP, setting the safety and good manufacturing practices of all productive processes on the site.
Technically supports production with the root causes analysis in customers complaints.
Support production engineering in the corrective actions and yield of production batches.
Implements the productive process in tollers, ensuring the same safety and quality standards as performed by MPM.
Lead new operational procedures training to involved employees.
Validates the productive process and generates the necessary documentation.
Creates and maintains the formulation data updated, according to global standards.
Lead improvement projects using specific MPM methodologies.
Lead projects (CAPEX) of new equipment and processes, being accountable for the installation and production, looking to improve the quality and competitiveness of the site.
Ensure that all new equipment, procedures, information, and training are implemented and documented.
Lead economic viability studies to the site expansion, including installation and layout.
Provide technical and operational support to the technical, commercial, and production teams related to the non-conformities analysis or instabilities of the productive process, suggesting corrective actions.
Participate in the development of new suppliers and materials process, helping with technical data and training.
Suggest, participate, and monitor the needed process developments, ensuring the safety standards and production cost.
Monitor all the productive processes or modification, trials, and installation of new equipment enlightening production doubts, starting actions to correct deviations or implementation of necessary modifications.
Create and simulate new materials local production cost or to improve the margin of the existing products, analyzing all the variables involved and suggesting viable options.
Work according to all EHS studies. Reaches all the annual EHS objectives. Ensures zero nonconformities in EHS audits and risk communication.
Comply with all EHS and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role:
Bachelor in chemical engineering.
2 years of experience in a processing/chemical environment.
Strong personal orientation towards the safety of self and others.
Uses effective problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and motivational skills.
Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
English Advanced to Fluent.
