Position Overview: The Radiologic Technologist at San Pablo Colleges Medical Center is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays, CT scans, and other radiologic modalities. The technologist ensures the highest standards of patient care, safety, and comfort while producing high-quality diagnostic images for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform radiologic examinations including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging procedures as required.
Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation protection measures to obtain optimal images.
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
Prepare and administer contrast media or other medications as required for specific imaging procedures.
Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure consistent image quality and patient safety.
Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and report imaging results.
Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients regarding procedures and address any concerns they may have.
Adhere to all regulatory standards and hospital policies regarding radiologic practices and patient care.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
Registration with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as a Radiologic Technologist.
Fresh graduates and newly licensed radiologic technologists are welcome to apply.
Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and understanding of radiographic techniques and procedures.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
