You will join Energy Management business unit that include the supply, trading, and dispatch of oil, biofuels, natural gas, electricity, and environmental products - both from Galp's own capital and third parties.
These operations provide greater value along Galp's integrated business chain, as they seek to proactively seize commercial opportunities, maximise the integrated margin, and navigate the dynamics and volatility of the energy market.

**About your future Team**
You will be working in the reporting and trade Control team, that is one the key pillars of Galp Trading activity, supporting and monitoring the teams activities.

**How will your day-to-day look like**:

- Understand and report profit and loss (PnL) and mark to market attributes and movements
- Prepare and review daily PnL and risk reports. Follow up any issues with relevant teams
- Ensure market valuation of positions held are as accurate as possible
- Perform daily validation activities, making sure all physical and financial transactions are duly and timely captured and validated accordingly to the company procedures
- Coordinate with various functional groups to highlight inconsistent data in ETRM
- Perform checks on un-authorized trades and monitoring of mandates/limits, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulation
- Active management of day-to-day issues and queries from internal/external parties with escalations as necessary
- Support front office in new products and non-standard products approval
- Support traders in day-to-day tasks such as trade pricing, risk management, trade booking, PnL decomposition and reconciliation
- Participate in enhancement and development of in ETRM systems
- Contribute to the month and quarter-end activities with Back Office/Accounting for all trading portfolios

**What makes you unique**:

- Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Science or Engineering, or relevant workplace experience in the energy trading industry.
- Relevant experience (4 years at least) within a Product Control/Market Risk/Middle Office/Risk management environment in a commodity trading company
- Financial knowledge - hedging instruments, such as futures, options and OTC swaps, economic evaluation and analysis, understands concepts such as NPV, value creation, and option value
- Strong and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including excellent Excel, VBA skills and Power BI skills
- Knowledge of ETRM systems (preferential)
- GARP certification - FRM (preferential)
- Good judgement to provide advice, question discrepancies and escalate issues
- Highly organized, good attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English and Portuguese, both verbally and written
