**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
**Talent Management**
- Manage the performance and development of direct reports through both formal and informal performance management, coaching and feedback, mentoring and training including regular portfolio reviews and daily stand ups
- Manage the team's reward and recognition strategies, including appropriate and consistent compensation and performance review administration
- Review employee engagement measures and implements action plans to improve culture, engagement, and collaboration
- Create a culture that facilitates strong team dynamics and employee success which includes a positive work environment, employee engagement and a focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Continually develops team and self on modes, services, technology, supply and demand, and market situation
- Communicate daily messaging to drive high levels of activity with focus on motivation and results.
- Champion strategic plan, organizational or divisional initiatives, leading indicator KPI's, financial results, segment performance metrics to employees on a regular basis
- Visibly lead and support change management including active involvement in communication, implementation, and reinforcement
- Coach team to partner with internal teams to ensure collaboration, quality execution, issue escalation and resolution, etc. to meet customer expectations
- Coach team members on how to identify, develop, track and measure continuous improvement opportunities with their customers
- Actively lead and/or participate in various industry, community, and campus activities to enhance the C.H. Robinson brand
- Ensure team is utilizing CRM timely and accurately to track activities, opportunities, and results
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on the selection of qualified talent
**Strategic Business Management**
- Accountable to performance objectives and actively reviews, manages and adjusts short and long-term plans as necessary
- Build credible relationships across business owners and executive contacts
- Serve as a customer escalation point to support solutioning and the primary business development resource for their team of individual contributors
- Identify, define, and support opportunities to generate growth and retain customers
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies including margin expectations and commitment level
- Utilize analytics to drive improved business decision making and optimize performance; leverage organizational resources to ensure results
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement while ensuring account health and customer commitments are achieved
**Financial Management**
- Review and monitor daily, monthly, and quarterly analytics to inform decisions focused on performance management and business outcomes.
- Responsible for expense management, including talent-related costs, T&E, administrative expenses, sales-related expenses, etc.
- Responsible for team efficiency, implementing automation and process improvement to maximize overall segment profitability
- Understand credit risk, negotiated payment terms, and ensures AR processes are adhered to
- Regularly review AR dashboard and ensures timely action is taken with customers
- Partner with team and internal resources to manage the customer claims process, serve as a point of escalation and decision making
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and/or account management
- Minimum 2 years of leading and managing teams
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestically)
- Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proven ability to problem solve, integrate, and grow relationships
- Ability to remain focused and optimistic in the face of adversity and change
- Strong ability to motivate, develop, empower, and energize others
- Demonstrated growth through sales and relationship building and negotiation
