Our client organises major iGaming events globally, including in Brazil, and is seeking a Sales Manager with a hunter mindset to drive revenue growth across their event portfolio.
In this role, you will primarily focus on the Brazilian event, selling sponsorships and exhibition space, while also managing accounts across Latin America and selling throughout the global portfolio.
Essential Job Functions / Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Sell event sponsorship and exhibition space across the company's growing event portfolio that includes conferences, trade shows, awards and other events spanning multiple continents.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients as well as new customers, by listening to them, understanding their needs and selling the company's events to meet those needs.
Represent the company in Brazil and Latin America by building strong relationships across suppliers, operators, affiliates, associations, other associated businesses and industry stakeholders.
Contribute to the company's growth strategy across Brazil and Latin America by providing market intelligence and new ideas to meet the needs of our clients and partners, as well as potential business opportunities for the company.
Work with Chief Growth Officer to establish revenue targets across the region and translate these into actionable sales strategies.
Work closely with colleagues on the events, conference production, media, relationship and marketing teams to ensure the company delivers the promised services to the clients' expectations, and preferably above expectations.
Make key contributions to ensuring potential is realized for flagship event(s); ability to join the dots across strategy, speakers, relationships and marketing.
Contribute to the sales team growth and effort by achieving consistent and growing sales results, and by providing feedback and input to improve our events and services to better meet customer needs.
Manage the sales cycle; including sales planning, lead generation, relationship building and management, as well as sales reporting.
Provide feedback on sales packages, sales materials and sales presentations to help the team ensure that they are continually improved and always up to date.
Profile both new and existing customers by consistently using the CRM system, collecting and updating contact information and logging all activity, to keep it up to date and complete.
In time, as justified by the growing client portfolio, hire and develop a sales team to further exploit the commercial opportunity in the region.
Attend and represent the company at events and exhibitions across Latin America, North America and Europe.
Skills & Qualifications:
A strong, demonstrable background of B2B sales and/or account management and relationship building.
Experience with sales planning / account management, client outreach and reporting.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to open doors and build rapport and deep relationships with industry executives across levels.
Fluent in Portuguese.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Able to deal with rapidly changing priorities and business circumstances.
Strongly results-driven.
