The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for inside sales lead generation. The Senior SDR is tasked with sourcing sales leads that support and enhance ABS businesses. In order to ensure success, the Senior SDR uses multiple methods of sourcing and partner with the various business development team members and leaders to accomplish broader goals. The Senior SDR provides input to marketing and operations on go-to market plans, improving customer interaction/satisfaction, expanding to new markets, and for improving financial performance.( This is a temporary opportunity)
What You Will Do:
Contact prospective customers to introduce products and services, explain product features, and schedule client meetings for Account Managers (AM).
Select appropriate AM to recommend products and services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
Convince others to buy products and services or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, social media, or by telephone or e-mail.
Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
Observing, receiving, researching, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Collaborate internally across all departments as needed, to provide potential clients answers to their technical or commercial questions.
Use initiative to learn about new ABS products and services, and creatively develop region-specific marketing approaches
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelors' degree in Business Administration or Engineering or recognized equivalent
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience with inside sales preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to quickly gain knowledge of specified products and services to be sold.
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
An entrepreneurial mentality that enables the incumbent to recognize and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Able to work in a result-driven organization.
Ability to commit to ethical business practices, in full accordance with ABS Operating Principles and Mission as well as corporate policies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client facing environments. English language fluency to conduct detailed business and technical communication at a professional level.
Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to a lead or manager level position or above
