Software Engineering ManagerApply locations BELO HORIZONTE time type Full time posted on Posted 4 Days Ago job requisition id R48197At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Software Engineering Manager to work with us in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.Cadence has been nominated as a Great Place to Work globally and in Brazil and is also a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For.Job Description:Team lead for a new DevOps group focused on delivering automation and developer productivity gains to a large R&D organization.Will work with R&D leads and with other stakeholders to identify bottlenecks in current processes and develop and deploy tools to improve productivity and software quality.Develop code in Python within a distributed software development environment with other contributors from around the world.Create new internal tools using web technologies – JavaScript/MySQL etc – on a Linux platform.Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, code review, and project management for a small team of developers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and with high quality and maintainability.Become the "go-to" contact for productivity and quality processes questions and automation requests for a large R&D organization.Role will include some responsibilities for C++ code within existing Cadence products.Minimum Requirements:Complete Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and related areas, or another numerate discipline such as Physics or Mathematics.At least 5 years of relevant work experience including some mentoring, technical leadership, and project management. Dynamic with an appetite for new responsibilities and experience.Strong programming and software engineering experience in Python and JavaScript or comparable languages.
