Job Description
DNV has a wide experience in consulting in the Brazilian solar industry, providing since 2012, a diverse range of services, including prospection of new areas, measurement campaign monitoring, energy production assessments for auctions and financing, assessment of solar farm operation and due diligences.
DNV is seeking a highly motivated student, willing to learn and to start his/her professional development in the solar industry.
The position is part-time and reports to the Solar Team Leader for Latam, located at the Porto Alegre office.
The Student will support the Solar Team on daily work for clients as well as tasks related to unit internal organization and development.
The engineer will learn and be exposed to:
Solar technology and design
Solar market information
Financing processes for solar projects
Energy simulation software
Participation in regular staff meetings
Job Responsibilities
Direct Project work:
As part of the daily tasks, it is expected that the Student will support in technical advisory tasks which may include project economic and technical analysis, data analytics, and energy simulation to determine project performance and component behavior as well as preparing and delivering reports.
Unit internal organization:
As part of the support to be provided to the Solar Team, the Intern will be involved in tasks related to internal procedures development, internal knowledge management, and market intelligence.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (graduation date to occur between June 2026 - January 2027)
No professional experience in the solar sector is required
Previous knowledge of renewable energy technologies (preferred solar) will be positive
Previous knowledge of renewable energy policy and solar PV will also be positive
Programming skills will be a plus (Excel in advance, Visual Basic, R, Python)
Must have good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations, and emails
Strong analytical skills
Support independent qualitative and quantitative analysis
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Soft skills:
independent, assertive, proactive, self-motivated, good communication skills, open to new challenges, flexible, and eager to learn
Fluent in English
