.The Specialist, Internal Audit ("IA") is responsible for supporting the Internal Audit program, which is annually approved by the Audit Committee, related to the specific entity in Brazil, and supports the IA activities in other Group entities, as required. This role is based out of the Company's Belo Horizonte office in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The individual will support the Company's IA programs, perform specific assignments, including contribution to the Company's compliance program in respect of its Internal Controls over Financial Reporting ("ICFR"), and perform operational audits, investigations, support legal and carry out special projects. Key Responsibilities:Support the annual internal control evaluation requirement for CEO/CFO certification as required by the Canadian Securities Administrators' National Instrument 52-109. Assisting in preparing the ICFR annual risk assessment, scoping and planning. Specifically, test and monitor the ICFR process in the Company entities, as required, reporting conclusions to the various operational site management, the IA Manager and the Company's senior management. Assisting with key internal control identification and documentation for review and approval by management. Perform special studies and investigations and support the Legal Department in review of allegations received by the Company's whistleblower process. During and after preforming investigations, appropriately report and summarize reportable concerns. Support management in the development of remediation plans for control improvements. Reporting on IA project results. Prepare regular written reports on audit results with executive summaries. Track and follow-up on identified areas requiring management actions. Required Skills and Competencies:At least five years of recognized IA, control testing and investigations experience. Experience in a "Big 4" audit or advisory practice is an asset.Bachelor/postgraduate degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business is required. CIA, CPA or CRMA designation.Experience with publicly listed companies required to have compliance programs for ICFR. Strong analytical skills (Power BI, SAP, Excel, among other tools) and the ability to identify and tackle critical issues head-on. Ability to communicate effectively, as well as excellent written communications skills. Investigations interview and interrogation skills will be considered an asset. Ability to manage investigations, work with confidential information and meet deadlines for the quarter updates to the Audit Committee. Ability to work independently, as well as being a strong team player. Ability to travel to operational mine sites during execution of fieldwork. Previous experience in the extraction industry (i.E. mining, oil and gas), would be preferred. Proficient in Brazilian Portuguese and English. Understanding of Spanish will be a plus
