Job Description: This position will be responsible for supplier quality assurance (Essentials category – Low/Medium risk materials) and Systems (operational accountability for internal quality system development).
Guarantee that all suppliers are authorized to enter Mars site and maintain supplier list updated. Understand and communicate to suppliers the Mars Sourcing Q&FS Standards program. Assess and confirm a supplier's capability to meet Mars standards of supply through: Performing the SQA audit on time; Reviewing process capability data compliance; Verifying that supplier hazard controls are operating effectively; Investigating and resolving non-conformances in close collaboration with the supplier (PDCA); Setting quality criteria for the supplier and delivering year on year reduction of supplier non-conformances guided by the SQA Experts or Manager. Support the supplier to address gaps in Q&FS capability identified in audits; Work with the supplier to investigate & resolve material non-conformances to prevent reoccurrence; Be aware of and assess changes to a supplier's capability to meet the Mars Specification; Ensure that all suppliers are assigned a current status with defined supply and verification requirements; Communicate business opportunities identified during supplier contact; Maintain the suppliers & materials risk assessment database. Update Nexus with the audit information and material risk assessment for each supplier/raw. Support R&D through material risk assessment. Maintain contact with suppliers about Key Quality Attributes Change Management updates. Be a functional expert in SQA management systems (NEXUS, Atlas) and continuous improvement initiatives within the Mars QMS. Be responsible for Metrics calculation and global reports. Coordinate and provide metric inputs to the supplier quality management review process and identify improvement opportunities across the supplier quality management systems.
