The Amazon International Technology Team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to work in our Sao Paulo dev center in Brazil.Responsibilities:Collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers.Writing specifications and technical design of the solutions/systems.Driving project schedules from design to release.Engaging in technical discussions with the software development team and managing the production launch.Leading and coordinating design/implementation efforts between your team and other teams to develop optimal solutions.Making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market.Clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.Qualifications:5+ years of technical product or program management experience.7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.3+ years of software development experience.5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and a well-rounded technical background in current software development technologies. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. This means you can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives while also rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them successfully and timely is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
