Along with this Australia is the 2nd largest gold producer in the world and we have over 82 operating gold mines in the country. You can see why there might be demand for mining engineers. If you are keen to consider working in Australia and have at least a couple of years of experience in a U/G hard rock mine then this could be the opportunity to consider. The function of the role is to generate mine design (stopes and development) to support operations and generate mine plans and schedules. Experience / Skills Required: Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering Experienced with Deswik CAD and Deswik Scheduler At least a couple of years experience post completion of your degree Experience in underground hard rock mining Component English language ability - written and verbal Interested in moving to Australia for a few years or even permanently Next steps: We understand there is a lot to consider before making a decision to apply or even move to another part of the world.
