Position Summary: This Associate Manager, Accounting is responsible for the general accounting process for the market (Legal Entity), Statutory and USGAAP purposes assigned, as well as submission of monthly closing (HFM). This role also includes responsibility for monthly G/L account reconciliations along with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, possess excellent technical skills, and demonstrate the strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with multiple business partners at varying levels of the company.
Responsibilities: Universal Accountabilities: Plays an integral role in the accounting general process and analysis.Works with his/her manager on special projects, as needed.Partners with other members of the Controllership team in Brazil and Latam on cross-functional initiatives.Specific Accountabilities: Develop the accounting records and the calculation of provisions for all operations of the company, according to generally accepted accounting rules and institutional procedures.Prepare monthly package reports and Cost Supervision reports to inform each area of variations found in departmental costs, making each responsible for taking the necessary corrective actions.Supervise the correct application of valuations of costs and inventories.Perform the registration of fixed assets and inventory control of the company according to established procedures.Monitor, track, and control overhead spending for the responsibility market.Preparation and submission of annual and quarterly reports.Elaboration and analysis of monthly reports of MPR (Mark-Up) (Release and Reserve).Validation/review that all transactions performed by the BPO are registered properly.Ensure effective and efficient financial resource management (Overheads/Working Capital).Provide support through relevant financial analysis and plan consolidation, highlighting areas of opportunity to enhance financial performance.Leadership for Audit External process.Contribute to improving reporting processes in ENR. Develop and maintain a business results and KPI system to monitor progress against objectives of the Company.Analyze financial performance identifying key issues and trends for discussion with Senior Management and Directors.What we are looking for: Required Skills and Experience: Graduate in Accounting BR/USGAAP, CRC is mandatory.5 to 8 years of Accounting & Fiscal experience, preferably in mass consumption multinational companies.Minimum 3 years in Finance & Planning experience.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Database processes.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners.Excellent communication skills (written and oral).Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.Embodies Energizer's individual contributor competencies: Influence, Teamwork, Collaboration, Customer Focus, Achieving Results, and Initiative.Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.Upper-intermediate English level (oral and written).Upper-intermediate Spanish level (oral and written) is a plus.Preferred Skills and Experience: Technical experience in Datasul (Totvs) and Hyperion (HFM), also SAP is a plus.Monthly Package Report responsibility including Statutory & Management reports.Internal Financial Reporting experience.Working Relationships: INTERNAL: Interrelates with areas such as Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Finance supervisors.
EXTERNAL: Maintains contact with External Audit, Legal Attorney Offices, regulatory and market/sales team.
