Job overview
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a talented and qualified physics teacher to join our diverse, enthusiastic and successful science department within the secondary section of the school. The school offers single and combined sciences at iGCSE, as well as Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Environmental Systems & Societies at IB Diploma. The school can offer excellent facilities, motivated students, collaborative colleagues, a competitive salary with accommodation and an overseas allowance, not to mention a unique environment to live and work in at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain. Staff are provided with a school laptop and access to a variety of online platforms to support teaching and learning, and the school has a strong commitment to professional development of all staff and opportunities to take on further responsibilities. Class sizes are small (below 20) and staff receive a generous time allowance for planning and marking.
Previous experience at IB and/or IGCSEs is not necessary but may be an advantage, as is the willingness/flexibility to teach across science subjects. The curriculum is taught in English and all school communications are carried out in English; fluency in English is therefore essential for this role.
We are looking for a candidate who can start in February 2025 or as soon after this as possible.

Deadline for receipt of applications is 17th November 2024.
