In this capacity, you will be part of our Global Legal Operations Team. You will lead the build-up of this organization.The Legal Service Centers are actively supporting the Global Legal & Integrity Team, which includes the Office of Special Investigation (OSI).In this role, you will be directly involved in the day-to-day business of the legal service center.Your Responsibilities:Set up the structure and team for the Americas, following the blueprint of the existing LSC for the APAC Region.Assist lawyers in the preparation of documents including drafting, reviewing, and amending materials such as contracts, memorandums, and non-disclosure agreements.Assist in editing and proofreading various contracts and draft legal correspondence.Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities, ensuring delivery of a document with high quality.Summarize key provisions from contracts.Support in conflict resolution cases (non-integrity cases) and HR referred cases.Be part of the further development of services towards the legal & integrity function.Support OSI in their investigations: interview note-taking and preparing statements.Quality assurance on a selection of cases.Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:LL.B. / B.L. from a recognized University with a bachelor's degree in a comparable field.Experience in a related work area and team management experience.Experience with investigations and tools like Navex, Relativity, Zylab, etc., is preferred.Proficient with Microsoft O365, specifically MS Lists, Teams, Word, and Excel.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time-sensitive documents, and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.Great attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and understanding of contracts and legal terminology.Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Portuguese, and Spanish is required.
