Software/Electrical Calibration Technical Support Engineer Job DescriptionDescription:As a Technical Support Engineer in our Software/Electrical Calibration Products Technical Support Team, you will provide technical and applications support and training for software and electrical calibration products.Primary Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose/validate, and resolve or escalate MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration software and associated calibration hardware product issues, primarily by email and phone support. Escalation includes documenting potential issues to the engineering team, collaboration with the engineering team in testing, and providing regular updates to customers.Facilitate software training courses at Fluke and occasionally at customer sites.Update training course content based on training course survey responses, industry trends, and new product releases.Collaborate with colleagues to develop new training courses.Working Conditions and Basic Requirements:Hybrid position with 3 days in office, Monday and Friday work from home.Able to move items up to 34 pounds between surfaces (e.g., cart to bench), climb stairs, and wear safety equipment when necessary (safety glasses, protective shoe covers, ear plugs/covers, face shield).US Citizen or clearance for US military/government site access.Driver's license.Passport (or able to obtain passport).Ability to travel up to 10%.Basic Qualifications:B.S. in a technical field, or technical school with a combination of relevant work experience. Two years previous technical training, technical support, and/or field service experience with complex software and/or hardware platforms.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer service. Customer focused. Strong problem-solving skills. Self-directed independent work and teamwork. Able to exercise sound judgment and decision-making within provided guidelines and context. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Preferred Qualifications:Experience with MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration software, electrical calibration products, electrical metrology, procedures, and quality systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Cases is a plus.
