This role provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction within our Neuro-immunology and Onco-Hematology business units, ensuring alignment with the company's broader goals and driving the success of our medical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development for direct reports, including clinical research physicians, scientists, and medical liaisons.
Develop and implement performance management plans, ensuring team alignment with business unit goals and the broader company strategy.
Oversee capacity planning and work allocation within the medical team to ensure optimal resource management.
Retain top talent through recognition and reward of exceptional contributions and performance.
Clinical Oversight & Strategic Planning
Lead clinical planning, ensuring medical strategies are coherent, aligned with business unit objectives, and completed in time for annual business planning.
Ensure all local medical plans support the brand's strategic imperatives in the Neuro-immunology and Onco-Hematology therapeutic areas.
Oversee budget management, ensuring operational expenses are in line with approved budgets, while monitoring clinical trial execution and publication plans.
Scientific & Technical Expertise
Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and competitive products relevant to Neuro-immunology and Onco-Hematology.
Lead medical education activities, including overseeing the planning of symposia, advisory boards, and scientific congresses.
Support marketing and sales teams by providing scientific expertise and ensuring compliant customer interactions.
Compliance & Cross-functional Collaboration
Ensure all medical activities comply with local and international regulations (e.g., ANVISA, FDA, GCPs) and internal company policies.
Maintain strong collaborative relationships with global teams, development partners, and marketing management.
Serve as a key medical advisor in strategic planning, ensuring all medical and clinical plans are patient-centric and focused on delivering real-world outcomes.
Qualifications:
MD or PhD in a relevant medical specialty with expertise in Neuro-immunology and/or Onco-Hematology.
Solid experience in medical affairs, with a proven track record in leadership, clinical planning, and budget oversight.
Strong understanding of local and global medical landscapes, with demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English with strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as required.
