We believe in the power of time off and actively work to prevent burnout by maintaining a supportive environment.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a Head of Post Production. As the head of post-production, you will be instrumental in establishing and managing our post-production arm in Brazil. This role combines hands-on production work with operational management, including resource scheduling, forecasting, and teambuilding and leadership. You will ensure the seamless execution of projects, optimizing in-house and freelance resources to meet our clients' ambitious visions without sacrificing quality or deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Budget and Timeline creation and management.Oversee all aspects of post-production, including editing, VFX, color, and motion graphics, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Manage the master schedule for all resources, preventing double-booking and ensuring optimal in-house and freelance talent allocation.Anticipate upcoming workloads to decide on hiring freelancers versus utilizing in-house teams.Maintain a strong network of freelancers and post-production resources in Brazil.Utilize SmartSheet, Harvest, Forecast, Trello, Slack, and Google Workspace for project and resource management.Act as a producer during slower periods, focusing on project management and timelines.Transition to a more operations-focused role during peak times, leading team management, strategic planning, and management of project-level post PMs.Report directly to the owner, contributing to the company's growth in Brazil.High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesQualifications:At least eight years of experience in post-production, with a strong understanding of video, 3D animation, mograph, and traditional VFX pipeline.Demonstrated experience in the management of editing, motion graphics, VFX, 3D, and AI tools in content production.Excellent written and spoken English language skills.Must have an eye for hiring great talent and have a robust network of production contractors in Brazil/LATAM.Proven ability in team building, resource management (experience with SmartSheet, Harvest, Forecast), and predictive problem-solving.Ability to work remotely with a work schedule aligned to USA Pacific Time.Leadership experience with the capability to manage and grow teams.Career Progression:This role offers the unique opportunity to lead the creation and growth of our post-production arm in Brazil, directly contributing to our global success.
