Paralegal

US-based law firm specializing in Immigration Law seeks a dedicated and skilled Paralegal/Legal Assistant for remote work. This role requires strong legal writing abilities and comprehensive knowledge of American Immigration Law, particularly in Removal Defense field. Qualifications: Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited U.S. law school and/or Paralegal Certificate. At least two years of proven experience in immigration law with a focus on Removal Defense. Fluency in English and Portuguese required; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable. Advanced capability in drafting motions, legal briefs, affidavits, and various other legal documents. Advanced level of English writing skills Proper home office setup with a contemporary computer, high-speed internet, and an official Microsoft Office license. Applicants are required to submit a resume in English along with a legal writing sample that showcases their expertise in immigration law. Candidates who do not submit a writing sample will not be considered. Responsibilities: Prepare, draft, review, and submit various legal documents. Engage with clients and conduct translations as needed to support case progression and understanding. Offer robust support to attorneys and legal staff.
