Job Description: As an Advanced Technical SEO Specialist, you will take charge of our website's technical SEO strategies, ensure proper indexing, manage redirects, and address all technical aspects that impact SEO.
Given that our website is not CMS-based, your role will involve hands-on technical management, requiring advanced knowledge of coding, indexing, and global SEO practices.
You will collaborate closely with our team of developers to implement necessary changes and improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Technical SEO Strategy: Develop and implement advanced technical SEO strategies to optimize a global website with thousands of pages, focusing on scalability, best practices, and long-term sustainability.
Coding & Development: Use your coding skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
to make necessary on-page optimizations and manage the website's technical health.
Redirects & Hreflangs: Handle complex 301 redirects, hreflang tags, canonical tags, and other elements critical to a multi-language, global website.
Indexing & Crawling Management: Monitor and optimize indexing and crawling by search engines.
Conduct regular indexing and crawling reports to identify issues and implement corrective measures.
Technical Audits: Perform in-depth technical SEO audits, including analyzing site speed, internal linking structure, mobile-friendliness, and identifying areas for improvement.
Robots.txt & Sitemap Management: Create, manage, and optimize robots.txt files, XML sitemaps, and other technical elements to ensure proper site navigation and search engine compliance.
Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented during the website's development and maintenance.
Provide detailed instructions for technical implementations and changes.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex SEO issues, including crawl errors, indexing problems, duplicate content, and more.
Global SEO Implementation: Oversee and implement SEO practices that cater to a global audience, including regional domain strategies, hreflang tags, and localized content considerations.
SEO Tool Proficiency: Utilize advanced SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.)
to conduct technical audits, monitor website performance, and generate actionable insights.
Reporting & Analysis: Create comprehensive reports on indexing, crawling, and site health, and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in technical SEO for global websites.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Technical SEO, particularly with large, global websites.
Technical Skills: Proficient in coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
Familiarity with server-side considerations (e.g., .htaccess, server redirects) is a plus.
SEO Expertise: In-depth knowledge of technical SEO practices, including 301 redirects, hreflang tags, canonicalization, robots.txt management, sitemap creation, and crawling/indexing strategies.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify SEO opportunities, and present actionable insights.
Problem Solver: Ability to diagnose and solve complex SEO issues, including crawl errors, indexing problems, and more.
Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with developers and other team members to implement technical SEO changes.
