We always reach for more.Business Need / Purpose of Role:The Operations Representative (Boarding Agent) reporting to Operations Manager is responsible for coordination and assisting the vessels with inward/outward clearance providing all necessary regular full agency attendance and husbandry assistance to the Master and Principal ensuring fast efficient and smooth turnaround in port. The Operations Representative performs office and non-manual work assisting Inchcape in the running and servicing Inchcape's 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week on-call services commitments to its Principals.Objectives & Measurement – Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Excellence – perform vessel's operations as directed by port management and in accordance with Inchcape policies and procedures.Customer Service excellence – Deliver a positive customer experience at all opportunities to both internal and external stakeholders.Documentation – processing inward and outward clearances of all vessels at the ports covered by the port office.Crew Movements – performing all arrangements for crew changes, medical cases and crew shore passes.Customer/Vendor Relationship – establish and maintain formal and informal relationships with principals and relevant authorities.Data Quality and Integrity – perform accurate and timely updates of YourISS2 and other systems.Reporting – Prepare a daily prospects/operational report for each vessel assigned to you.Updates – providing the port and head office management with updated information on local rules and regulations.Leave coverage – attending port meetings and collating vessel movements reports in the absence of the Port Manager.Safety, Quality and Environment – ensure strict compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures.Teamwork – proactively working as part of the Inchcape organization to assist other team members.Communication – proactive, hands-on and professional communications to all stakeholders.Vessel / Terminal Visits – Visit vessels in attendance at Espirito Santo state.The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Port Manager.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesA foundational knowledge of Port Operations.Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite.Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.Ability to balance multiple tasks, changing priorities & operate within a deadline-oriented environment.Why Inchcape Shipping Services?We believe in building a diverse and high performing workforce to provide our partners with exceptional service.
