Buyer Relationship Manager Job DescriptionThe Amazon Investor Coalition (AIC) is a non-profit start-up on a mission to increase and improve investments in forest-friendly economic development, and the rule of law, across the Amazon region of South America. The Coalition is an impact finance learning-and-collaboration platform that convenes investors and philanthropists, in partnership with communities, companies, governments, and civil society. We have catalyzed over $50 million of new investing in the Amazon region to date.
To help incentivize sustainable production and increase the number of long term purchase agreements between Amazonian producers and foreigners, we are seeking a professional to help cultivate and manage relationships with corporate buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential corporate partners and develop relationships.Field incoming calls, emails and form submissions from prospective buyers.Provide presentations, sales material and other documentation to buyers as requested.Organize all presentations and sales material for each company and make sure that data and information is up to date.Create and modify sales material using information provided (as needed).Act as the liaison between producers and buyers.Ensure buyers are getting everything that they need in order to help facilitate their partnership with production partners.Facilitate meetings with buyers and/or producers.Act as the go-to procurement lead for other departments in the AIC.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in English, Portuguese and Spanish, other languages a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Google equivalents.Eager to help others and have the drive to take action.Experience in account management and sales roles.Experience in the food/commodities industry a plus.Passionate about playing a key role in international business relations.Passionate about protecting and preserving the Amazon Rainforest.
