**Job Summary**: Our client is Private Property Investment company that has been operating since the 1960's. As a family-owned business, they have significantly grown over the years. They develop, own and manage a Multi-Billion Rand retail portfolio and are still growing. With a new development under construction in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, they are looking for a Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mall. This 25,000 sm centre is set to open in October 2024. However, in an ideal world, the CM will start in April / May in order to gain experience at one of their operating malls in Lephalale for a few months. Marketing, leasing, and accounts are done at the head office, allowing you to focus on responsibilities such as monthly reporting, inspections, project management, resolving tenant queries and managing contractors. Other tasks include, preparing management packs, facilitating the process of tenants moving in and out, marketing rollouts and interfacing with local interest group. Whilst our client is fully prepared to train up someone who hasn't managed a mall before, they seek a commercially minded individual who lives in or close to Vryheid - either currently or previously - who comes from either a hospitality or other general management role which is highly client facing. Being the face for the company on site means that you will need to have a proven ability to solve interpersonal and conflict situations and problems. You would also have exposure to the management of either direct staff or contractors whose performance it was your task to oversee and manage. Good MS Office skills, your own car and a customer centric attitude will secure.
