What are we looking for?
We are looking for a [Job Title] based in São Paulo. This position is pivotal in bridging Global Risk Management with local Risk and Commercial teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of a global ETRM system and a Market Risk Model. The role is essential in providing expert insights into local portfolio risks, ensuring their accurate representation within the ETRM system and their proper modeling in the Global Risk Model.
What challenges will you face?
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a Global ETRM system across Atlas' countries.
Develop and maintain a Global Risk Model that simulates risk metrics and limits, tailored to local market specifics, while providing analytical support to Local Risk Management teams.
Establish and enforce global Risk Policies for Market Risk Management and ETRM.
Standardize and implement global risk metrics and limits across global markets.
Ensure the accuracy and timely updating of ETRM data, working closely with Local Risk Directors and commercial teams to validate and enhance the modeling of existing positions in the ETRM system and the simulation of risks in the Global Risk Model.
Develop and refine the Global Risk Model, creating visual tools and sensitivity analyses, while validating methodologies and mentoring local risk teams in their use.
Lead the back-testing of Global Risk Model results, documenting variances, and implementing process improvements.
Analyze and report period-over-period changes in market risk metrics, identifying and investigating the underlying drivers.
What specific knowledge do you need?
Bachelor's degree – Engineering, Data Analytics, Big Data, and related fields
Proven experience in implementing ETRM systems in a global context.
Experience in developing and back-testing forecasting models, with a collaborative approach to addressing variances.
Technical proficiency in automated analytical processes, including user interface design, data acquisition, and process automation.
Experience with simulated market risk engines and common portfolio risk metrics (e.g., Value at Risk, Conditional Value at Risk, Cash Flow at Risk, Mark-to-Market, Potential Future Exposure, Hourly Profile Exposure, etc.).
