QAT Global, a 25+ years IT consulting firm based in the US, is seeking a highly-skilled Java Developer with the ability to communicate well in English.
This position will work directly with the customer located in the US and with development teams in our US, Costa Rica, and Brazil locations.
This opportunity can be 100% remote Only hiring QAT Employees (CLT only in Brazil) Key Responsibilites Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications using Java 8 and Spring frameworks (Spring 4.1.3.
RELEASE, Spring Security 3.2.5.
RELEASE).
Participate in the migration of applications, identifying and addressing the most time-consuming aspects, particularly related to log validation in ELK.
Work with UI frameworks, including JSP, jQuery, and AngularJS, to maintain and enhance front-end components of the applications.
Ensure the seamless integration and deployment of applications in Tomcat servers, ensuring they are not impacted by OpenShift environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage approximately 40 applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and meet performance standards.
Leverage existing Azure DevOps templates for continuous integration and deployment.
Implement and maintain automated smoke tests across all applications to ensure early detection of issues and maintain application stability.
Required Experience Extensive experience with Java 8 and Spring frameworks (Spring 4.1.3.
RELEASE, Spring Security 3.2.5.RELEASE).
Proven experience with UI frameworks such as JSP, jQuery, and AngularJS, particularly in managing applications outside of OpenShift environments.
Strong understanding of Tomcat server configurations and deployments.
Experience with Spring Boot 1.5.x and the development of scalable applications.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and automated testing frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving issues related to application migrations and log validation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience BS/MS in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent Experience working with ELK stack for log management and validation.
Experience in a client-facing role with strong interpersonal skills.
