Company DescriptionAs a global key player in yeasts and fermentation, Lesaffre designs, manufactures and markets innovative solutions for Baking, Food taste & pleasure, Health care and Biotechnology.Family group born in northern France in 1853, now a multi-national and a multicultural company, Lesaffre is committed to working with confidence to better nourish and protect the planet.In close collaboration with its clients and partners, Lesaffre employs 11,000 people in nearly 80 subsidiaries based in +50 countries.Lesaffre achieves a turnover of 2.2 billion euros.Job DescriptionA new plant is currently being built in Narandiba with forecast to start operations in June 2025, therefore it will be necessary to prepare the operational procedures for the process to aim a vertical startup and continuous improvement of the operations and quality.Reporting to the factory production manager, you will be responsible for helping the production manager to guarantee the proper functioning of the various production workshops:Before Startup:Study and learn the operational process of the new plant to be able to translate and adapt Lint operational procedures to the new plant.Collaborate in training new operators on operational procedures (theory and practices).Monitoring of process operators during commissioning and startup of the plant, in order to guarantee continuous improvement and performance (on-the-job training).After Startup:Checking consumption ratios of raw materials, ingredients, and energy to make sure that they are within the acceptable pre-identified limits to reduce cost without affecting product quality.Checking semifinished and end-products analysis to make sure that they are within the quality specification and defining with the local team the corrective actions if required.Checking efficiency of equipment to ensure they are running smoothly.Programming and monitoring of production tests.Updating SOPs and making sure that they are applied and making changes when needed and updates info as per Lesaffre guidelines, participating in the training of operational staff and in raising staff awareness of continuous improvement.Improving monitoring tools and use of production data.It is a non-exhaustive list. Other missions will be entrusted to you during your assignment.QualificationsYour profileEngineer with specialization in food/biological or biochemical process engineering.Your skillsYour skills and technical sensitivity allow you to be a true process engineer. As such, you have good knowledge of industrial installations and equipment, ideally in the food industry.You understand technical drawings, P&ID, PFC, layouts.You are familiar with product quality and process control details.You have data analysis abilities applied to process improvement and development – data analytics, data handling, modelization design of experiments.You are able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.You are able to prioritize and organize tasks to timely achieve project requirements.You are recognized for your ability to work in a multicultural context on operations requiring initiative, sense of responsibility and team spirit.
