DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the improvement of our current product offeringsThis role is focused on enhancing existing menu items and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and customer satisfactionThe R&D Supervisor will also be responsible for testing new equipment and ensuring it integrates seamlessly with our product preparation processesThis is a crucial role for someone passionate about the quick service restaurant industry who excels in process optimization and product refinementLead efforts to improve the quality, taste, and consistency of existing menu itemsTest and evaluate new equipment for product preparation, ensuring it meets operational standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and supply chain to implement product enhancementsConduct sensory evaluations and product testing to identify areas for improvementAnalyse customer feedback and performance data to make data-driven recommendations for product improvementsMaintain documentation on product modifications, testing procedures, and outcomesEnsure that all product improvements comply with regulations and company standardsProvide training and support on new processes or equipment introduced as part of product enhancementsReport writing and product trial feedbackMonitor industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure our products remain competitiveREQUIREMENTS:Degree in Food Science or Food Tech, or a related field3-5 years of experience in a quick service restaurant (QSR) environment, with a focus on product development or process improvement2-3 Years experience in a supervisory role managing a teamStrong understanding of food preparation processes and quality controlExperience with equipment testing and evaluation in a food production environmentExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable improvementsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teamsOwn vehicle required – for travel between stores and head office
