1180 Eng. Desenv. De Produto Sr – Sr Mechanical Engineer

Requirements:

University/Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education background;
Solid and proven experience in Design of new components (Mechanical/Electrical), by using standard CAD programmes (e.g. Catia, Solidworks and equivalents);
Experience with projects of design and modeling softwares of sheet metals (Highly preferred);
Advanced/Fluent English Communication and writing skills (mandatory);
Capability to coordinate and drive development activities.

Activities:

Design of new components (Mechanical/Electrical), by using standard CAD programmes (e.g. Catia, Illustrator, OrCad, Zuken);
Release technical documentation inside PLM-System (Teamcenter);
Responsible for ECR (Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notice and Article Acceptance);
Design within 3D (where applicable);
Coordinate the approval with prototyping, performance and quality verification together with the laboratory teams;
Support tooling & component quotation;
Assist during the introduction of new components and assemblies in the production area (incl. Ramp-Up of new models);
Technical contact for other departments (Purchasing, Product, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Service);
Prepare information for BOM creation (ANC-allocation; PNC-Design-BOM);
Using preventive quality tools (F/VtEA, DFA, PSRA);
Tolerance Chain Analysis, to secure a robust design;
Sample building during the development process (in alignment with the supplier);
Provide technical support to the factories to reduce the reduction of re-work, improve productivity (where applicable);
New Product Design where applicable;
To ensure that all requirements (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturability, environmental impact, safety) are taken into account during the development phases;
Support DVT (Design Verification Test) and MT (Manufacturing Verification Test) together with the factories and project teams;
Investigate and implement design changes.
