Job Purpose
Ensuring that the academic results as well as the SABIS® teaching methodology are being applied to the utmost standards as per SABIS® requirements. Communicating continuously with parents to keep them informed and updated on the progress of their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the SABIS® point system as well as SABIS® teaching methodology and classroom management techniques are being applied and implemented across the entire school.
- Ensuring that teachers are meeting and/or exceeding expectations by following up and monitoring their performance.
- Conducting classroom observations on a daily basis to ensure that the SABIS® point system as well as classroom management techniques are being applied; providing constructive feedback to the teachers on their performance.
- Analyzing and following up on all students' academic related issues to ensure that all learning gaps are being covered.
- Ensuring that academic as well as behavioral issues of students are being dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
- Playing an active role during the teacher training program, if and when needed.
- Acting as a mentor and/or role model with all teachers and students within their supervision.
- Liaising with the Student Life Organization to ensure academic excellence across the entire school.
- Ensuring that the end of year transcripts being sent to the universities are accurate and reflect the student's academic performance (when applicable to specific grade).
- Conducting general meeting with parents to inform them of the importance of the external exams (when applicable to specific grade).
- Undertaking recruitment activities within the assigned schools, if and when needed.
- Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the SABIS® management.
Ideal Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or master's degree in education or related field and demonstrated successful teaching experience
- Senior teaching or administrative position in an educational institution
- Fluent in English
