As an **Account Manager**, you will be part of a high-performance sales team that drive profitable sales and IFF Market share growth. You will support the commercial team with coordination of reports, price lists, quotations, certifications, documents and sales data analysis, as well as liaison with plant and customer service personnel.
You will be working to identify customer needs and opportunities, build solid customer relationships, and lead and coordinate IFF activities, promoting relevant IFF Nourish Frozen Desserts solutions for selected categories or countries.
**Major responsibilities**:
- Manage the customer relationship
- Achieve profitable, sustainable sales growth with the customer in line with, or in excess of targets mutually agreed upon.
- Contribute to the overall strategy that ensures a distinct point of difference to customers in this specific space and introduce the concept of Integrated Solutions where appropriate
- Provide accurate sales forecasts
- Responsible for quotes and pricing negotiations
- Accountable for all communications with the customer and constantly keep Customer Service and Operations departments updated to ensure timely delivery of orders and all documents related to legal and quality issues and specifications.
- Overall manage the relationships between the different functions from the customer and IFF.
- Take ownership of the core team which includes the Commercial Support and the Technical & Marketing support individuals attached to each account.
- Provide (on time) together with Business Development strategy all information necessary all matters relating to the service of the accounts. This includes:
- Presentations to customers
- Responsible for the receipt of opportunities and projects into IFF and their accurate and detailed entry into the IFF project system ensuring that all required information is "first time right". This includes opportunities entered by Support staff.
- Manage the relationship with Creation, Application, and other departments and monitor project progress.
- Responsible for the project pipeline and the accurate and timely use and maintenance of all information entered into the project management system.
- Develop account plans for the most important accounts
- Attend, on request, category team meetings and provide feedback to the local teams.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related degree.
- 5-7 years of successful technical commercial business experience with a commercial and client coordination focus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and coordinate activities with internal support team and customers.
- Confident, dynamic and enthusiastic professional with ability to generate trust by delivering on commitments
- Strong presentation skills, ability to work with different levels or functions within the organization
- Good oral and written communication skills, excellent listening
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are desirable
- Highly proficient with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Fluent in Portuguese and English is an advantage
- Have a valid driving license and willing to travel
- Preferably Food industry experience in sales focused on frozen desserts
