Accountant

Role Responsibilities: Responsible for monthly close procedures including the preparation of recurring month-end journal entries and adjustments in accordance with US, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and UK GAAP. Prepare and review team journal entries, as well as monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and financial analysis Compile month end reporting including cash flow and key month end reporting metrics Assist with reconciling and analyzing various balance sheet accounts including identification and explanation of variances Support day to day operations including some treasury functions Qualifications: Must be fluent in verbal and written English & Portuguese or English & Spanish Minimum 3+ years of work experience in a relevant role, including a mix of specifically public accounting within external audit (not consulting or internal audit) and general ledger experience An accounting degree from an accredited university Understanding of application and practice of Brazil Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Have experience with US GAAP and/or with Sarbanes Oxley Hold an active CPA license, or equivalent Advanced knowledge of Excel as well as the ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data Experience using various financial systems is a plus (including NetSuite ERP) Able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment
