Reporting to the Controller of the EPD business unit, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Accountant to step-up to a challenging role, own it, drive success, lead change and expand your career at Curtiss-Wright.
EPD is searching for an individual that seeks experience and exposure to General Ledger, ERP (preferably Oracle/SAP), SOX testing, Internal/External/Government audits, Tax, and reporting.
Support the Controller of EPD in providing financial management expertise to our Bethlehem PA manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities include:
Forecasting free cash flow on an ongoing basis; weekly, monthly, quarterly, and for the full year.
Compiling and submitting data files for bi-weekly payroll.
Analyzing project costing compared to budgets and current Program Management cost estimates.
Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Free Cash Flow.
Supporting annual audit requirements with both internal and external auditors.
Performing various analysis in preparation for a successful accounting close and during the close.
Assisting with the development of annual rates for Overhead and SG&A.
Participating in the preparation of Forward Pricing Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions (as required) to DCMA and DCAA.
Supporting ongoing development and enhancement of Corporate financial systems.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory or governmental regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Partnering with our Internal, External, and Government (DCAA) auditors, the Finance Center of Excellence (COE) team, and the Corporate Finance team as needed.
Involved with SOX / Control Self-Assessment (CSA) testing bi-annually.
Providing oversight to the local G/l, A/P, and A/R Accountants.
Other duties as necessary.
This position is a full-time in-house position due to the governmental security needs of the business.
What You Bring
BA or BS degree in accounting/finance with 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting for a publicly held company.
Working knowledge of GAAP is a plus.
An understanding of manufacturing business processes preferably in a project-based business environment is a plus.
Must be well organized, flexible, have the ability to carry on multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley a plus.
Oracle or similar ERP System is a plus.
Government accounting experience is a plus; exposure to Forward Pricing Rate submission desired.
LEAN and/or Six-Sigma experience and knowledge helpful.
Must have the ability to meet multiple deadlines according to calendar schedules issued by our corporate office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop effective working relationships.
Strong collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to listen, solve complex problems, and deal with ambiguity.
Strong customer focus, both internal and external.
