We are now looking for a **Accountant, Taxation** to join our **Finance & Control** team. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Taxation in Wärtsilä, and the preferred location of the position is in **Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil.**
**What you will be doing?**
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Tax calculation ICMS States of RJ, ES (PE and AM will be a plus)
- IPI and ISS calculation
- Withholding tax
- Issuance invoices (DANFE) SAP
- Consolidation of tax returns SPED ICMS_IPI, REINF, DECLAN, DCTF WEB, PERDCOMP, DSR, DAPS, DEMS
- Tax research for compliance in new jurisdictions and laws
- Maintain SAP configuration for tax rates and withholding taxes
- Participates in month end closing
- Support on external/internal audit procedures
- Participate on AP process as approver
- Analysis and Clearing GL accounts
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
- Intermediate written and spoken English;
- Expertise SAP system Syncho system is a plus;
- Pos-graduation in Tax (will be a plus);
- Ability to interpret and explain complex legislation to non-accounting specialists;
- Accounting concepts;
- Tax and Regulatory Compliance;
- ERP SAP and file hierarchy concepts;
- Microsoft Office
