Ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyses current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Principle Accountabilities:Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organisation.Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.Maintains the general ledger.Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned with ability to explain purpose behind job tasks and process flow.Assist in monthly accounting close process ensuring compliance in company policies and procedures.Perform all assigned monthly account reconciliations, with third party documentation, where possible, to support balance sheet monthly financials.Manage timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks including projects, special assignments, and administrative activities.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related areas.2+ years' experience in industry accounting or finance roles.CRC, or other finance or accounting certification is a plus, or strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS standards.Ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of using Microsoft Dynamics (D365) and the OneStream system is a plus.Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking in English and Portuguese, as well as good organisational skills.Detailed-oriented with excellent ability to analyse data and circumstances and train others as needed.Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
