We are looking for a responsible and skilled Accounting & Tax Manager who will organize and manage company's Accounting and tax operations in Brazil.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Accounting & Tax department. Leadership, performance management and talent development for the team.
Manage accounting activities, assuring all reports and entries are produced according to principles and actual accounting legislation; Ensure financial reporting and practices are in line with Brazil laws, general accounting principles, group control procedures and group reporting deadlines.
Support business growth by leading FP&A activities and providing insight and guidance with expert analysis and evaluations on financial, accounting, planning, and forecasting.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filling of tax returns, and ensure all the financial work complies with tax regulations.
Maintain effective internal control system and liaise with external and internal auditors on the improvement of internal control procedures.Qualifications:
Solid technical Finance competence covering Accounting, Reporting, Tax, and Finance controls and processes.
Proficient in use TOTVS Protheus for Accounting, Reporting, Tax and Inventory Management.
Experience in maintaining and promoting a strong internal control environment, ensuring the financial results are timely, accurately, and properly controlled.
Experience in risk management including tax compliance and inventory management.
Has a strong business, analytical, operational and leadership mind-set. Perform ad hoc analysis, scenario models, and other support for Sales, Service, Project, Operations ,Treasury teams.
Support Commercial and Warranty Team in terms of Sales pricing , tax calculations and transfer price.
Able to establish relationships and work cooperatively across boundaries and the matrix to achieve results. Ability to effectively navigate and influence senior management and partner organizations.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in accounting or finance related discipline, a CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is a must.
10+ years of working experience in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team.
Deep understanding of local tax laws, policies, and accounting principles.
Strong communication and presentation skills. Strong team player. Ability to partner effectively across geographies and functions.
Excellent skills in English speaking, listening, and writing.
International industry company Experience is mandatory
Experience in public accounting (Audits, consulting etc.) is a strong plus.Competencies
