The role includes oversight of invoicing, payment processing, cash flow monitoring, and ensuring the timely and accurate financial recording of all transactions.
Additionally, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing company expenses and preparing financial reports for management analysis.
Collaboration with the finance team to enhance processes, maintain accurate financial reporting, and support the overall financial stability of the company is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesA/R Management : Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely billing and collection of payments from clients.
Monitor outstanding balances, perform account reconciliations, and implement effective strategies to minimize aged receivables.A/P Management : Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.Expense Management : Manage and monitor the company's expenses, ensuring cost control and compliance with budgetary guidelines.Cash Flow Management : Monitor daily cash flows, ensuring that adequate funds are available for business operations.
Provide cash flow projections and manage working capital effectively.Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including analysis of expenses, cash flow, and key metrics, for review by senior management.
Assist in creating forecasts and budgets based on the company's financial data.Process Improvement : Review and optimize A/R and A/P processes for efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
Identify and implement automation opportunities where possible.Reconciliation & Reporting : Prepare and review monthly A/R and A/P reports, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
Perform regular reconciliations and provide timely reporting to senior management.Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the accounting team responsible for A/R and A/P, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Compliance & Controls : Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and regulatory requirements related to A/R and A/P.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on A/R, A/P, and expense management.Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within accounting.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsCPA or CMA certification.Experience in the logistics, warehousing, or freight-forwarding industry.Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools.Key CompetenciesLeadership and team management.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic business environment.High level of integrity and ethical standards.Contract type: Independent contractor (PJ)Location: Brazil - Remote
