**About the team**:
Accounting team is a Key corporate function responsible to provide the Financial Statements to the Board and Investors.
Accounting team's mission is to support Merama and its merchants in areas like: Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Controlling, Demand Planning and Strategic Planning.
It is also responsible for ensuring that accounting reports comply with international accounting standards (IFRS) and, acting as key function when providing financial statements and reports accurately and timely to the Board and users. In addition, accounting team is in charge of consolidation reports of whole group of entities at Merama Brazil.

**Responsabilities**:
- Responsible for ensuring that accounting is accurate (IFRS compliant) and for internal (analytical review and variance analysis) and external (Financial Statements) reporting regarding balance sheets and P&L accounts, providing technical guidance to subsidiaries for any necessary adjustments;
- Participate in the preparation of consolidation and accounting closings.
- Responsible for the accounting closing process, provisioning and reviewing the process, ensuring that accounts are analyzed in a timely manner at closing;
- Analyze and recommend changes to accounting systems and procedures
- Support implementation among IFRS-aligned subsidiaries;
- Work with subsidiaries on the account reconciliation process, reviewing balances and ensuring that supporting documentation is gathered, any outstanding issues are mapped and the process is followed up through an action plan,
- Provide support to business, M&A, finance and other areas with accounting guidance and variance analysis.
- Support the accounting consolidation of companies based in Brazil that report to Mexico.
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- Accounting degree
- Consistent experience in Accounting (IFRS / CPC)
- Knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint;
- Sense of urgency
- Good relationship and empathy (will deal with various stakeholders),
- English advanced (mandatory) and spanish (desirable)
- Previous experience with Auditing
