Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase PLC is a leading diversified financial services group that was founded in the Maltese financial services industry in 1971. We currently employ 200 people spread across 3 core business lines namely Investment Services, Payment Services, and Fund administration services.
The selected person is expected to be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
To ensure success, the Accounts Clerk should be a critical thinker and have a solid understanding of account and financial reporting principles and practices. The person should also have the ability to work on their own initiative and work as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day duties to the Accounts department.
Post invoices in the sales, purchase, and nominal ledger.
Process requests for payment and prepare local and foreign payments.
Issue customer invoices and ensure timely collection of payments; follow up on outstanding invoices.
Perform banking transactions and reconciliations.
Assist colleagues and superiors as required to ensure that end-of-month deadlines are met and that payments are issued by the stipulated deadlines.
Accurately enter and maintain financial records in accounting systems.
Assist in year-end audit requests.
Provide general administrative support to the Finance team.
Experience & Educational Requirements
A' level education in Accounts.
Ideally have experience in the financial services industry.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word will be considered an asset.
Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SUN.
