About the role

Code, review and submit invoices for approval
Special attention to tax coding for accounts payable invoices
Travel and Expenses processing and payments
Investigate discrepancies and take action to resolve
Weekly payment of vendors with vendor reconciliation
Follow up with internal and external suppliers on rejected invoices
Reconcile Accounts Payable statements if any dispute or overdue invoices
Monthly/weekly Accounts Payable subledger to general ledger reconciliations
Close cooperation with Record to Report and Accounts Receivable Teams
Month end close activities
Internal audit on employee's expense reimbursement statements
Other accounting duties as assigned & Ad-hoc reports
Temporary position initially 4 months.

About you

Accounting Degree and experience required
Knowledge of tax withholdings on supplier invoices
Knowledge of Accounting theories and practices (IFRS, IAS)
Experience with SAP/Oracle (or equivalent ERP system)
Analytical and detail oriented, with a process improvement mindset
Ability to handle multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines
Ability to interact effectively with internal customers and the general public
Self-driven with team work spirit and interpersonal skills, take personal responsibility on professional development
Demonstrates ownership and accountability; also understands the need for and embraces change
Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Native in Portuguese (Mandatory)
Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness
Positive attitude and customer focus
Good team spirit
Respect for hierarchy
Attentive to detail and deadlines
Sharp judgment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
Passion and willingness to learn and understand new software/accounting systems
Temporary position initially 4 months.
