The individual will also display the ability done quickly yet efficiently on a consistent basis. Your experience will allow to you hit the ground running in a high growth, fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.Responsibilities:Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure the accuracy of all financial reporting activityAssist in the preparation and distribution of financial statementsProcess accounts payable Strong ability to process AP accurately with attention to detail in a high-volume environment. Consistently manages, follows-up, and answers calls and emails from vendors.Assist in the annual financial audit and preparation of tax return work papersPerform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end financial summariesEnsures the balance sheet accounts are accurately stated based on compiled reconciliation procedures and agreement with source documents.Enters monthly journal entries upon approval to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate that entry.Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and internal controls and their applicationProvide analytical support and additional duties for ad hoc company projects and initiativesHas a good understanding of inventory accounting and cost accountingCompile quarterly sales and use tax filingsWhat you bring:3+ years of experience in accountingExperience with high volume accounts payableKnowledge of inventory accountingExperience with Quickbooks or similarExperience working under US GAAP or IFRSProficient in Microsoft ExcelBachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or FinanceExperience with e-commerce companies will be a huge plusPerks:We welcome new ideas and allow you to make an immediate impact on the team.Flex PTO for any reason, including sick days (no specified limits), and flexible work schedule.Personal laptop.Health and wellness package.Remote work.
