Role: AD Exchange Teams Engineer Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week) Contract Duration: 6 Months+ Work Hours: Eastern Standard Time (EST) Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri) Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM Countries) Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Exchange and Active Directory (on-prem and O365) Engineer to manage and support our enterprise-level email and directory services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, and related technologies, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of our systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Microsoft Exchange and Teams Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange On-line and MS Teams environments.
Monitor Exchange server health and performance.
Implement and maintain email security protocols, including anti-spam, anti-virus, and encryption technologies.
Perform regular backup and recovery operations for Exchange environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve email-related issues and outages.
Active Directory Administration: Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and domain controllers.
Implement and manage directory security, including user authentication, authorization, and access control.
Perform regular audits and cleanup of Active Directory objects.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory replication, authentication, and authorization.
Windows Server and Virtualization: Manage and maintain virtualization environments using platforms such as VMware and/or Nutanix AHV.
Work closely with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of Windows and virtualized environments.
Develop and deploy automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to streamline repetitive tasks, such as server provisioning, configuration management, and reporting.
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate and support various systems and applications.
Provide Tier 3 support for Exchange and Active Directory-related incidents and requests.
Document configurations, processes, and procedures for Exchange and Active Directory environments.
Plan and execute Exchange and Active Directory-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server (2013, 2016, 2019), Exchange Online and MS Teams.
In-depth understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
Familiarity with email security solutions (e.g., Mimecast, Harmony) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions for Exchange and Active Directory (Rubrik).
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Exchange Server, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, or similar are highly desirable.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory in a large enterprise environment.
Experience with Office 365/Exchange Online administration.
