**Job Description Summary**: The Grid Solutions Americas Statutory Reporting Leader will coordinate all Grid Americas statutory financial filings including statutory/ carve out audits with all internal and external partners.
This individual will integrate and develop policies, procedures, and guidelines to help ensure the business meets its statutory reporting obligations and completes all associated reconciliations (stat.
to GAAP, stat.
to tax, return to accrual) in a timely manner.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Plan and organize the delivery of all central audits and local stat audits on time with high level of quality
- Responsible for the submission of financial statements and their quality in compliance with internal and governmental regulations
- Responsible of keeping the landscape of LE/obligation/ stat owner/ fees in E-compliance accurate
- Ensure cost control for the function including the consultants/ audit fees/overruns
- Drive the clearance of the past due backlog for stat fillings and S2G
- Allocate accordingly the requests for central and local audits and monitor execution as per plan
- Participate actively to Energy carve out audit
- In charge of relations with auditors, point of escalation/ consolidation for Grid stat
- Organize regular debriefing with auditors and follow up sessions
- Actively participate to audit change approachvalidate central versus local piece approach
- Assess processes that can be more centralized and create synergies with R2R and tax.
- Manage (in)directly the stat team members by providing accounting/ system/ process guidance
- Organize necessary system or process training for the stat function
- Coordinate the implementation of statutory ledgers and stat HFM across Grid
- Contribute to the establishment of strong internal controls and correction of SOX deficiencies.
**Required Qualifications**
- BA or BS in finance/accounting from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 9 years' experience in a controllership/accounting role
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and GE accounting policies and procedures
